The state motto is “Live Free or Die”, they were the first to declare independence from England, and still have fierce independence in all they do. The state takes pride in all they do: they have one of the top public school systems in the nation, they are ranked as the 4th safest state in the Union, and they have one of the highest household incomes, making it a relatively wealthy state compared to the rest of the country. On top of that, New Hampshire offers history, outdoor activities in all four seasons, and 65 state parks all within its relatively small borders. You will never be wanting for beautiful scenery, whether it’s the famous fall foliage or taking in Mount Washington, the highest point in the state.
