Job Summary
Under supervision of the Director of Special Education, the School Psychologist is required to provide a broad range of psychological services essential to the understanding of the emotional, physical and psychological needs of students. Provide application of psychological knowledge to the development of intellectual, emotional, and behavioral competency of pupils through consultation, assessment, counseling, and research. The School Psychologist will coordinate and provide a program of psychological services to students in general education and special education programs, with an emphasis as
a bilingual school psychologist. Provide consultation across the district related to evaluating students whose primary language is not English. Assist in developing district-wide procedures and best practices related to English Language Learners. The School Psychologist will work closely with all staff, inclusive of general education and special education staff, in a variety of areas of behavioral services. The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for completing individual student assessments, planning and evaluating programs; coordinating behavioral services, coordinating and evaluating curricular resources and strategies, evaluating effectiveness of programs for individuals with exceptional needs and participating in staff and program development related to the special methods and approaches of providing special education services. The candidate hired for this position will work with all grade levels within the District.
Requirements / Qualifications
Possession of a Pupil Personnel Services credential authorizing service as a School Psychologist.
Bilingual in Spanish required.
BCBA certification required.

The district provides $782.10 per month toward the purchase of district benefits.
