Requirements / Qualifications
ducation:
A bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a field related to the knowledge and abilities requirements of this classification from an institute of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. A Master’s degree in one of these fields is desirable.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) Certificate is required. Maintenance of this certificate is a condition of continued employment.
Experience:
Two (2) years of teaching, therapy or related experience, including developing, implementing, modifying, and monitoring behavioral intervention program plans of school-aged children with behavioral disorders, and providing trainings related to behavioral interventions to parents and/or staff.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience in behavioral intervention programs.
License:
- Possession of a valid Class C California Driver’s License.
Special information:

APPLICATION PROCESS
EXAMINATION
This is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. The examination may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test, performance test and/or structured oral interview. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination. The resulting eligibility list will be used for up to six months to fill vacancies.
To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran’s credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be six months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future vacancies.
Date of Examination
The date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email, and/or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination(s).

Comments and Other Information
The Personnel Commission is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time management position in our Student Support Services Department. Under administrative direction, this position participates in planning, developing, coordinating and monitoring the quality of the District’s behavior analytic intervention programs and related services; trains, supervises and/or consults with staff, professionals and parents, in support of the development and implementation of Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals/objectives, placement and services; and participates in the coordination of program activities with teachers and other staff.

This 11-month position will work Monday-Friday, from 8:00AM to 4:30PM.
